Junior Development

The recruitment and retention of junior members is key for the future of our game and we are delighted to offer training opportunities which will offer advice and practical tips for all clubs committed to growing their junior membership.

Junior Organiser Induction

We have developed an online module designed to help those undertaking the role of Junior Organiser at their club. This short online course is flexible, allowing learners to work through the content at their own pace.

This course should take between 20 and 30 minutes to complete and provides access to various resources that will support a Junior Organiser in their role.

The Box of Tricks also comes with a training workshop that focuses on junior retention in four areas of the club concerning:

This attractively packaged box of good ideas offers flashes of inspiration to volunteers, professionals and junior organisers, providing more than 50 innovative ideas on how to retain juniors, including:

Fun game formats

Inventive practice methods

Ways to build confidence on the golf course

Marketing ideas to raise awareness and attract families to the club

Social ideas to help integrate youngsters within the club

Since its inception, more than 150 clubs in Scotland have engaged with the Box of Tricks training and are using the resource.
