GIRLS' GOLF HUBs

What Are Girls' Golf Hubs?

Girls’ Golf Hubs is a funded programme designed to attract new girls (aged 5-18) to your coaching programme as well as offering something fun for existing girls’ golfers.

If you want to host a fun and engaging 6-week coaching block and work together with other clubs in your area, then Girls’ Golf Hubs is the programme for you.

Club Commitments to Girls’ Golf Hubs;

  • Ensure the female participation recommendations for girls’ involvement are met within any National Junior Framework programmes you are registered too (Junior Flag Championship: 1 girls’ per team; GolfSixes: 2 girls’ per team).
  •
  • Collaborate with your local schools and communities to attract participants to the Girls’ Golf Hubs programme with an aim to progress into membership.
  •
  • Recommend you register your club to The Women in Golf Charter
  •  Commitment to participating and promoting in the Scottish Women and Girls’ Week 2024.
  •
  • Direct any Girls’ Golf Hubs participant aged 15+ to the Young Leaders Activator programme. Not only will they gain an accreditation to deliver golf activity and support their club, but this is an excellent addition to their CV!

FAQs:

Each Girls’ Golf Hub will receive up to £400 of funding to help support the delivery of the hubs.

The funding will be provided once the programme has been completed.

There will also be access to our Learn to Golf & Roving Pro coaching resources through our National Junior Framework and software to create your marketing campaigns.

Clubs should charge the players for the programme, we would recommend £30.

Girls who have participated in the hubs should be offered some sort of membership deal at the end of the programme.

After any regional events, we would encourage Hub networks to maintain contact regionally to further develop girls’ golf priorities in the area that reflect the needs of both clubs and participants.
