Girls Club Stage 1 Registration

Who it’s for:   Beginners
  • Get into Golf graduates
  • Girls returning after a break
Focus:  Feeling welcome
  •  Understanding club life
  •  Supported on-course exposure
Delivery Commitments for Girls’ Club: Stage 1 Clubs are committed  to:
  • 1. Deliver a minimum of 25 sessions (April – March)
  • 2. Inclusive of 5 winter retention activity
  • 3. Provide regular on-course learning opportunities
  • 4. Deliver: 2 social activities and 3 parent sessions
  • 5.Support progression into wider junior activity
  • 6. Submit participant data and evaluation
Delivery Commitments  (All Stages)  
  • 1. Deliver activity aligned to the Girls Junior Framework
  • 2. Use appropriately qualified coaches (PGA Professional, Community Golf Instructor, or Level 1 licensed coach)
  • 3. Create welcoming, inclusive environments for girls
  • 4. Support girls to continue playing beyond the programme
  • 5. Manage promotion, enrolment, and registration
  • 6. Collect participant fees where appropriate to support sustainability
  • 7. Engage with monitoring, evaluation, and learning
Clubs are encouraged to integrate Girls Junior Framework activity within their wider junior provision rather than delivering it in isolation. Available Funding Girls’ Club: Stage 1, up to £1,000 per year What Funding Can Be Used For 1. Coaching delivery
  • 2. Workforce development
  • 3. Junior equipment and programme resources
  • 4. Social and team-building activities
  • 5. Pathway development activity
Funding is released upon successful completion of delivery and reporting requirements. Support Available to Clubs Clubs delivering within the Girls Junior Framework will receive support through:
  • 1. Access to Learn to Golf and junior coaching resources
  • 2. Workforce development guidance
  • 3. Marketing and promotion tools
  • 4. Ongoing regional and national support from Scottish Golf
